# AI capture

> Use natural language or screenshots to propose subscription changes.

# AI capture

AI capture helps turn text or screenshots into subscription actions. It can propose adding, updating, deleting, or batch updating subscriptions. You review the proposed action before anything changes.

## Start an AI request

1. Open **AI Assistant** or **Add with AI**.
2. Type what you want to do, paste a statement excerpt, or upload a screenshot.
3. Click **Ask AI**.
4. Review the proposed action.
5. Confirm, edit, discard, or retry.

Examples:

## Review before saving

AI capture may highlight fields that need review, such as missing category, guessed payment date, unclear notification setting, or custom interval. Check those fields before applying the action.

AI does not write directly to your data. The app applies the action only after you confirm.

## Undo

After an AI create, update, delete, or batch update, the app may show an undo prompt. Use it immediately if the confirmed action was not what you intended.

## Privacy

The text or screenshot you submit is sent once to the configured model provider for extraction. Subscription Manager does not store or log that content. It keeps only usage counters for quota and budget control.

## When AI cannot help

AI capture may return no action when the target subscription is ambiguous, absent, or the input is not clear enough. Try a more specific name, include the amount and date, or use the manual form.
